International cooperation

Thanks to the international cooperation with such towns as Nordenham in Germany, Ystad in Sweden or Svetly in Russia, there are favourable conditions for economical, tourism and scientific exchange in Świnoujście. Consequently, the town developed to the one of the most important and characteristic places in the region. Świnoujście is also an active member of the Pomerania Euroregion.
Due to the fact, that the history, economy and culture of Świnoujście is closely connected with the Baltic Sea and the Baltic Sea countries, it is the area, where the cooperation is most fruitful. Moreover,a further and very good example of the cooperation is a project “Four Corners”, which promotes development of tourism, transport and cultural as well as youth exchange between Southeast Skåne (Sweden), islands Bornholm (Denmark) and Rügen (Germany) and Świnoujście.
